Posting the partial data from my bike computer [DATA]

Was amazed that the battery lasted over 20 hours!  Nice work, Garmin!

Thank You

Thanks so much to everyone for keeping tabs on the race, appreciated the words of encouragement and support! Couldn’t have made it very far without the amazing support crew! Courtney, Scott, Andy, my dad, Caitlin and Laura went well beyond the call of duty many times. They were the oasis in the desert, literally and figuratively.

It usually takes a while to piece together what actually happened when you go through an event like this, and I hope to post a few details over the next few days. Among the memorable are headwinds, heat, getting hit with a water bottle, headwinds, 3 dead squirrels (my fault), a Goldbond cloud (my fault), climbing, climbing, climbing, stomach ache(s), keeping my shoes clean, cattle guard then wrecked front wheel then full body slam, skunk, badger, deer, downed trees, SERIOUS WIND, more deer, eggs & potatoes, headwind, headwind…headwind…asleep in the car…in and out of sleep for the next 12 hours (more in than out).

We’re driving north to SLC, will be happy to get back into the everyday groove even though the whole training and race thing is pretty fun. But it’s not “real life”. Planning to be back in my Salt Lake office sometime tomorrow.

Another crew update.

Mile 300

At 1 pm MST after 29 hours of rideing, battling stomach issues, cattle guards, headwinds and more, our faithful rider honorably completed the Hoodoo 3oo.

Thanks for all your love and support.  We are off to celebrate by eating lunch in Panguitch.

Mile 266

Another update from the crew.

Mile 266
A dark night is followed by a beautiful dawn. Jason is back on the bike, but struggling with some major stomach issues. To sum up the night…Jason slept for an hour at 2 different points…making a slow go from mile to mile. He crashed going over a cattle guard, breaking his front Zipp wheel. He went over his handlebars and landed in a cow pie but had no broken bones or scratches (that have been identified yet).

Besides hitting the cattle guard, he has come within dangerously close encounters with a skunk, badger, a single deer, and a herd of about 12 deer.

We are grateful for the sunlight, we are hoping it is just the rejuvenation that he needs!
